What is a Water Vapour Fire?
A water vapour fire is an electric fireplace that uses ultra-fine mist and LED lighting to simulate a lifelike flame effect. The result is a stunning 3D visual that looks like real fire – but without smoke, heat, or CO₂ emissions. A built-in water reservoir produces the mist that brings the flames to life.

What is a Watervapour Fireplace?
A watervapour fireplace, or Dimplex Optimyst fireplace, uses ultrasonic technology to create a fine mist that is illuminated by LED lights, producing highly realistic flame and smoke effects. Unlike traditional fireplaces that burn wood or gas, watervapour fireplaces use only water and electricity, making them an eco-friendly and low-maintenance option. These fireplaces provide the visual appeal of a real fire without the heat, making them ideal for use in a variety of settings, including homes, offices, and commercial spaces.

Installation and Maintenance
Installing a water vapour fire is simple – all you need is a mains socket and clean water. Cassettes and built-in models require additional ventilation to operate correctly. Models with heating will naturally use more electricity. To keep your fire in top condition, regularly refill the water tank, clean the unit, and descale it when needed.
